The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to a contract extension with defensive lineman Adetomiwa Adebawore, keeping him with the team through the 2028 season. The two-year, $35 million deal includes a $13 million signing bonus and $22.5 million in new money through 2027. Adebawore, 25, has had a breakout season with four sacks and a 23.3% pass rush win rate, despite seeing double-teams on 78.8% of his pass-rush snaps. The Colts have shifted their focus to building for the future after the departure of general manager Chris Ballard and the trades of Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner. Adebawore is one of the young players the team wants to keep and build around as they look to replenish their roster. The Colts have also been linked to potential trades involving star running back Jonathan Taylor and receiver Josh Downs, but Adebawore's future with the team was never in doubt.
